Snow protection for the area around the charging port on the BMW i3. The cover is hooked onto the hinge arm and easily clicked into place at the other end (at the loading hatch lock mechanism), protecting the area from unwanted amounts of snow.
The protection is available in four different versions:
Standard - For home chargers - This cover has a removable frame. Removing the frame increases the opening by 5mm all around - for cables with larger sheathing.
CCS - For the home charger that also fast-charges - This cover has a removable hatch for charging with a CCS connector (DC/fast charger).
Charge Amp - For home chargers that have a charging box/cable from Charge Amp - This cover has a removable hatch for charging with a cable/connector from Charge Amp.
Extra cover - For home chargers - This cover has a removable frame. Removing the frame increases the opening by 5mm all around - for cables with larger connectors. The cover also includes a protector/holder for the original protective cap.

The covers are used during charging and are then removed so that the original hatch can be closed.
