Snowguard - BMW iX

Snow protection for the area around the charging port on the BMW iX. The protection is easily attached using the charging port's locking mechanism and protects the area from unwanted amounts of snow.

The protection is available in three different versions:

Standard - For home chargers - This cover has a removable frame. Removing the frame increases the opening by 5mm all around - for cables with larger sheathing.

CCS - For the home charger that also fast-charges - This cover has a removable hatch for charging with a CCS connector (DC/fast charger).

Charge Amp - For home chargers that have a charging box/cable from Charge Amp - This cover has a removable hatch for charging with a cable/connector from Charge Amp.

The Snowguard is used during charging and removed afterwards so the original flap can close properly.

The function is the same as on the ID3 cover - hook the cover onto the hinge and lock it in place using the charging port's locking pin (and release it in the same way as the charging port): https://youtu.be/yZ1XYut8-wY
